Dispensing Prescriptions

Dispensing NHS and Private Prescriptions is at the core of our pharmacy business.  We pride ourselves on the high levels of service that we offer our prescription customers.

Whatever your prescription needs, at Staveley Pharmacy we make it our business to meet your expectations.

A modern dispensing prescription service

We all live busy lives so we aim to fulfil your prescription in a way that suits you best.  At Staveley Pharmacy, our prescription waiting time is usually very short but you can choose to:

– Wait in-store whilst we make up your prescription.
– Call back to collect at a time to suit you.
Use our App.  This allows us to notify you know when your medicines are ready to collect or be delivered.
– We also offer a prescription delivery service for eligible patients.

However you choose to access the service, our efficient and effective systems ensure that we can provide you with your medication in a timely manner.

Medicines safety

If you have unused or expired medications, prescription or otherwise, you can take advantage of our medicines disposal service. This ensures their safe disposal without risk to the environment.

All tablets and capsules are supplied in child-resistant containers unless you request us not to. But, please remember to keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Preferably, medications should be kept in a lockable cabinet.

Your pharmacist can advise you on the safe storage of all medicines.

You are welcome to drop in or reach us here to ask any questions about prescriptions.

Happy Customers

What our customers say

“Thank you Staveley Pharmacy for the way in which you dealt with my dad’s prescription following our call to NHS111.  It was very much appreciated.”

A Hames

“Didn’t have my prescription in stock due to suppliers being out of stock, so rang round other chemists in the area. When no luck the owner rang GP to get the prescription changed for a similar alternative. Stayed open late whilst waiting for GP to get back in touch. Incredible service and very much appreciated thank you.”

M Wardle

“Prompt and organised team, a huge and valuable range of services, from medication to health checks, and equipment. Staveley Pharmacy is most valued by the District nursing team.”
